  • ABCs of Genetics: A Self-Study Course, second edition: This publication outlines the basic principles of human genetics and helps the reader understand genetic inheritance patterns and the common neonatal conditions that have genetic underpinnings. The outline format provides the information in a concise, accessible manner, and figures effectively illustrate the material. Practice tests appear throughout to help the reader learn the concepts; answers are provided.
  • Education Standards and Curriculum Guidelines for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Programs: This publication defines the minimum standards necessary for educating a neonatal nurse practitioner and can be used in conjunction with other accreditation or review tools for evaluating existing NNP educational programs or developing new programs in order to ensure that graduating NNPs receive appropriate instruction to function at the novice level. It can also be used as a self-study tool for existing NNP programs. Published in 2009.
  • Family Teaching Toolbox: This compendium of articles for families is taken from issues of Advances in Neonatal Care, the journal of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses.
